Bronze, 62 mm.

As in nos. 173 and 174, Fantuzzi here (Vol. 8, 1790, p. 125) says this medal was commissioned by Zanetti, and not made by him: "il padre abate Luigi Mingarelli e il Sig. Giulio Zanetti . . . gli fecero fondere una medaglia . . . e nel rovescio si legge questo verso: 'FERTILIS ET VARIUS, NAM BENE CULTUS AGER.'" This latter inscription refers to another medal of the sitter. This reference was discovered by Dr. Ulrich Middeldorf.
