The Blessed Margaret of Savoy was a Dominican nun who died in 1464. The population of Alba gave her a cult immediately. It was first officially recognized by Pius V (who had been prior of the convent of Alba and vicar of the monastery) in 1566 and finally confirmed by Clement X in 1670.
